Some years back, I removed Carousel Hold from my Bandcamp page for an avalanche of personal reasons that I won't go into here. I'll just say that there was a lot of complex and heavy emotional baggage attached to this one and I didn't want to share it anymore, despite it being one of my favorite things I've released. I think it's been offline for about 4 years and I've actually had numerous people write to me and ask about its absence from time to time.

This leads us to today. After a few major emotional and mental health breakthroughs in my life over the past year, I felt ready to revisit my old buddy Carousel Hold, give it the proper treatment, and release it back into the wild.

I've spent hours and hours properly EQing and mastering the entire album. There are, of course, limitations due to the songs being recorded on a single stereo track, but I really feel like I was able to breathe new life into these songs and get them to a place I'm really stoked on.

Additionally, I've included four bonus tracks—including two previously unreleased tunes ("Another Way" and "Dive") and two tracks that appeared on compilations ("Angel" and "Pieces")—that were all recorded around the same time in early 2017 and have been remastered for this release. The only exception is 'Pieces,' which was mastered by the incredible David Last, so it already sounds perfect and I'm not touchin' it.

I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who has supported me over the years. I hope you enjoy this collection. The funds from this release will help give me some safety cushion as I hit the road to play some shows in the Midwest next month.

Really creates a very unique vibe that no other project really pins down quite like this does. The harmonics on larger live speaker rigs really come out and the tracks shine deep into the sub aural range. SHerbert
